5 A sh or d . Having spent most of our sfhool years and having received much of our education in the Cornwells Building, we cherish many fond memories of the old building. We are proud of our new high school and we are privileged to be its first graduating class, but we can- not forget the many important events and exciting moments we have exper- ienced in our former high school build- ing.

DBDICATION . . 40' goreuford Finally, after many years of anticipation, our dreams have materialized in the form of a beautiful high school building, equipped with the most mod- ern facilities. These realizations first began to take place with the ground- breaking ceremony which inaugurated the construction of the new high school. To the casual observer construction seemed often to be at a standstill but it was slowly and surely progressing, working toward completion. Upon entering school in the fall, we went about our many activities and studies contemplating the day when the construction would be completed. The flag raising and cor- nerstone laying ceremonies were memorable occasions which will serve as lasting remembrances of our new school. We, the first graduating class from this new building, have made a record of the activities and classwork of our senior year as we have worked parallel with the workmen. Our little mascot, the owl, will relate to you the construction of our school from the opening day to graduation, from the architect's blueprints to the dedication, and the work and play of the students during that period. 5 11 19 29 41
