Soon after the ground break- ing ceremony the steel structure of our school began to rise. Before long the entire skeleton was com- pleted. Then came the long te- dious jobs of masonry, carpentry, plumbing, and plastering, the many details including painting, tile setting and putting hundreds of knobs and handles on doors and closets. Then on November 9, 1954, the long awaited cornerstone lay- ing took place. Various articles of signilicance were placed in the stone for posterity by the officers of the Student Council and mem- bers of the Administrative Depart- ment of the school. Following soon after the cor- nerstone laying was the flag raising ceremony. Mr. Struble accepted the flag on behalf of the school from Mr. Meredith Gravuer, Vom- mander of the Harry T. Clunn Post 9220, Veterans of Foreign Wars, of Eddington.
