GRADUATION OUR IR sf SR YEARS SPORTS J -ill mm T V V V 4. 4' , EXTRA CURRICULA 1 l C 5 ..- l i lm 4' we, the class of 1956, in our four years at ben- nington high school have ascended these steps of achievement with faith and determination. now that we have reached the uppermost step we look back at our achievements. Dedication With great appreciation and love we dedicate this, our yearbook, to our parents. Words can hardly express the heart-felt devotion we hold for them. So many times they have led us in the right direction when we were tempted to go astray. Without this guidance and understanding that can be obtained only through their love, our four years of high school would have rushed by without meaning or fulillment. This guidance and understanding have taught us to find within ourselves tolerance, trust, and respect for our fellowmen. We only hope that in the future we will bring them as much happiness as they have brought us. To Mr. David Jareckie we express our thanks for his never-ending assistance and effort which he has al- ways willingly and gener- ously given to support our class and its projects. In Appreciation To Mr. Richard Caswell, we extend our sincere thanks for devoting his val- uable time, advice, and as- sistance in helping to make this yearbook. His laudable efforts deserve our heart- felt thanks. V 2 To Mr. Charles Comstock, who has unselfishly given of his time and effort, we ex- bend our thanks. His untir- ing effort have led our class to success in its many proj- ects. V- . I would like to consider the following before you make your final decision on a career. Increased population, longer life span, labor-saving devices, greater speed, de- mand for more and better education, more leisure time and many others are all con- tributing factors to what constitutes major social problems. These have all come upon us with such suddenness that society still staggers from the impact. Problems growing out of the above beset untold millions. The workers who help solve these problems are in short supply. Teachers, social workers, ministers, doctors, nurses and all the other members of social agencies just are not suflicient in number to meet the demand. There will be careers offering higher salaries, a future with greater security, better working conditions and many other benefits that will in general make life easier, but when you come to make your decisions if you are looking for challenge, for problems that can't be solved by a formula and for satisfactions not to be found in any other way, be sure to look carefully at the social agencies. 3 f Q :mfg ,W 4, K :MY Rkgwg Hwy v 2 ww ,ga ff w fa, ws if nr -1 f Amin nw ww, swf gs N A We x WJ' ' N if 3 'WNY' lf K Ssggwiaqsi f2,f'1f5R sf W Wi? fi 65 5 X B ,2 wif T, f N ME 5, is1fifff2 se mls?
