The aspects of academic and extra-curricular life at Benhi that may seem matter-of-course to students are in reality the result of long and careful planning. For this reason space is allotecl early in our tour of Malon s Alley to the school administrative leaders, Principal Gor- don M. Thomas, Assistant Principal Elliot S. Gil- man and Superintendent of Schools, Allan J, Heath. If the office is foreign territory to some few law-abiding souls, there is no one who has not been to the Guidance Department for advice or informa- tion at some time, ln her three years at Benhi, Guidance Director Mary A. lIUllSlllBlES While we may run atowl of the administration occasionally during our all tes brief trio through these halls, our immediate worries usually revolve around one or several of the teachers on these pages, VVithout them, though, the alley would cer- tainly be deserted. Theirs, besides the Herculean task ot pass- ing on to us some of their philosophies, is the job ot keeping the alley in a state ot order.
