FRONT ROW Left to Right Norma Bevelheimer, Barbara Gray, Carol Wait MIDDLE ROW Delmar Grell, John Witt, Dennis Johannsen, Lyle Christensen BACK ROW Eugene Eicke, nGeneu Cloudt, Richard Hawkins, Gene Mueller This year's junior class was the same as last year's sophomore class with the exception of losing one student and gaining another Jim Rebuck was now en rolled in Benson High School, and the new member was Delmar Grell who previously attended Springfield High School Richard Hawkins attended the Humboldt High School the first semester and came back to Bennington the second semester The class officers were John President, Norma Vice President, Barbara Secretary, and Carol Treasurer The class sponsor was Miss Mohr Subjects taken by all the juniors were typing, English, and American his tory All of the boys took shop Barbara and Carol took shorthand, and Norma, Dennis, and John took geometry The second semester Barbara also took geometry Norma and Barbara were the cheerleaders and Carol was a member of the pep club All the boys except Delmar reported for baseball huthe fall John and Gene Mueller lettered When basketball season opened, John, 'Genen Cloudt, and Fu 'Gene' Cloudt and John were both regulars on the second team John lettered on the first team In the spring nGene' Cloudt and Eugene Eicke reporteo for the track team On October 21 the juniors presented a three act comedy entitled Along Came Charlie County Government Day was held October 47 The juniors didn't particinefe because it was during the Teachers' convention No faculty members were avail able to sponsor it Carol hait and Delmar Grell were honored when their class members chose them to be king and queen candidates at the P T A carnival Carol was one of the princesses and Delmar wascrm of the princes February 25, Bennington was represented on the WOW radio program, Tops with Teens Norma Bevelheimer was the Junior class representative Gene cloudt, Norma, and Barbara took part in declamatory wor Gene gave poetry reading Barbara went out for dramatics, giving nsingapore Spider , U 0 I I .
