Girls Track Row 1-Linda Kroeger, Colleen Reke- meyer, Suzy Weih, Sandy Hawkins, Virginia Hawkins, Sally Weih, Kae Mc- Quillen. Row 2-Deanna Hillyer, Linda Russ, Tammy Willows, Tammy Martin, Lori Borchers, Jody Brus, Bridgit Rutherford. Row 3-Tracy Weih, Jeanne Hambright, Trish Hamann, Tina Keppy, Kristi Siebel, Barb Donald, Bill Huck- stadt-coach. The girls track squad, consisting of 20 members, had a good season this year. They took part in seven meets. Jeanne Hambright sparked the squad in the high jump. She received first place in every meet with the exception of one, where she received second. She also won the District at Stanwood where she was the winner over 22 schools. Bennett placed llth at the District Meet and 5th at the Confer- ence Meet. The team specialized in short races where they quite often placed.

German Club This year was a special one for the German Club members, one they will never forget. Nineteen students from the club earned their way to Germany for eight days, through a lot of hard work, determination and a little help from their parents. To be able to participate in the trip the students had to be in one of the German classes taught by their advisor Charlene Paper. Row 3-Vicky Walls, Sheila Powers, Lonnie iayes, Doreena Hillyer. 5 l JH Girls Track This year the girls JH track squad consisted of 16 members. ln the con- ference meet, the girls placed 3rd out of 10 teams. Becky Pruess, the girls JH track coach commented, 'Lthe events in which they participated in they did a very good jobf, She also thought, Nfor the number of girls out for the season, the team stood up to schools with much larger squads, and the relays were the hot Spot for the girls to score points.
