Homecoming Troy Borchers, BHS Junior, proved his irresistability to the Bennett girls, as he collected 24 hush buttons to become Mr. Irresistable. Three girls tied for Miss Irresistable. Brenda Wulf, Senior, Tina Keppy, Sophomore and Lisa Stewart, Eighth grade, each collected 18 hush buttonsw. Irresistability contests were only part of Homecoming week festivities. Monday, students and faculty members got out their bobby socks and grease for it was 'to's day. Winners of '50's day were Troy Borchers and Nancy Coussens, both Juniors. Tuesday, Cowboys and Indians took over the school. Cow- boys and Indians day winners were Suzy Weih, Senior and Kenny Myers, Sophomore. Wednesday, could have been mistaken for Sunday because everyone came in their Sunday best. Dress-up day winners were Mrs. Linda Meyer, Home Ec. teacher and David Hawkins, Fresh- man. Minds could be read as students revealed their future plans Thursday. Career day winners were Sandy Hawkins, Senior and Brian Schnoor, Sophomore. School spirit was shown Friday as red and white was all that could be seen. Red and white day winners were Bobbi Sauer and Troy Harmel, both Eighth grade. Other voting during the week which was new to BHS involved the senior class. They voted for a person in their class for the following categories. The winners were: Best personality-Colin Hermiston and Keri Timmerman, Most successful-Earl Spicker- mann and Diane Spickermanng Prettiest smile-Kraig Timmerman and Sally Weih, Most successful in music-Todd Eggert and Col- leen Rekemeyerg Most successful in drama-Lori Huckstadt and Randy Krug, Best sense of humor-Mark Schmidt and Suzy Weih, Most successful in athletics-Sandy Hawkins and Kevin Ralfs, Wildest and craziest-Rhonda Schnieder and Eric Storjohann. r i Seated-Queen Sandy Hawkins, King Colin He rmiston. Pom Pon Squad BHS has a very versatile Pom Pon squad. Besides doing pom pon routines they also do drills and dances. The group attended summer camp at Augustana College, Where they learned various routines not involving their pom pons. During the year practice was held twice a week. They per- formed once a month, including the Homecoming game. Their hard work paid off, for during their season they master- ed routines for the School Song, Night Fever, Popeye, Wrap Your Arms Around Me, and Jump Shout Boogie. The squad consisted of four seniors and one junior. They are under the direction of Mrs. Linda Meyer.
