Jazz Band The 1978-79 Jazz Band performed four times during the year: these were on December 8th at the pep rally at Homecoming and also at the pre-game and half-times. On November 7, the group played for the Open House here at BHS and finished the year off with two concerts on the 13th of March and the 8th of May. They were di- rected by Mr. Les Thostenson, who also rehearsed with them 2 to 3 morn- ings before school a week. M h i n d The Bennett Marching Band performed twice for the g public-Nonce at the Bennett Fall Festival over Labor Day Weekend and in the Iowa Homecoming Parade. The group consisted of the 42 Concert Band members and they marche up and down the streets of Bennett two to three times a week.
