RICHARD KINSMAN Leadership. athletic ability and popularity distinguish Richard Kinsman as an outstanding member of Bennett's Hall of Fame. As a result of serving our school so admirably in the past four years. Dick was elected president of the senior class. The Peoples' Choice is active in many extra-curricular activities. thus completing his well-rounded personality. Handsome Dick excells in sports and has deservingly earned two major letters in both track and basketball as well as receiving Honorable Mention on the city's All High Football Team. His amazing talents do not stop here, how- ever, for he was also president of the junior class and an active mem- ber in many school organizations including the Student Council and Key Club. He also served as sports editor of the Bennett BEACON. N. Richard dislikes getting up, but once he's awake he loves peppy people, Latin music and Friday nights, all in keeping with his active social life. We at Bennett know that Richard Kinsman will be successful in anything he undertakes and will honor the name of his school. VVe sincerely hope the future will yield the success he so richly deserves as he studies engineering at college. DONALD PFAU The quiet, serious member of the Senior Class who most assuredly will meet with future success is Don Pfau. the Class Prophet. Don has worked on the Projection Stat? and for this service will receive a gold pin. He is a member of the Key Club and the Legion of Honor and is Chaplain of North Delaware Hi-Y. In addition to his honor schoolwo1'k, for which he will receive a .Iewelled Honor Pin, Don has accepted the weighty responsibilities of service to other students in the area. For two years he has been the President of the Buffalo and Erie County Hi-Y Council, serving his community as well as his school. Don readily admits his liking for friendly people with smiling eyes . parties and shrimp. Careful urging will force him shyly to reveal a dislike for liver. prejudiced individuals and naturally, lengthy home- work assignments. He has been an active participant in the homeroom basketball and swimming programs and prefers football to any other spectator sport. Future plans. for which a prophet should excel, include entrance to Grove City College. Grove City. Pennsylvania. Here Don hopes to study a pre-Theology course, in preparation to entering the ministry. In this noble venture, as previously, Donald Pfau will continue to travel his destined path of service to others. JACK VVERBLOVV Great seems to be the best adjective for Jack VVerblow's many traits. A great personality is the major factor for his success here at Bennett. Oratorically speaking. Jack has accomplished great things. The Public Address Crew. Debate Team, All-High Oratorical Contest, Voice of Democracy Contest, and winner of the Mercer Speaking Con- test are some of the steps that merited Father Time Nverblow to be the Master of Ceremonies of the 1953 Variety Show. It is of course fitting. then. that as a senior. Jack was president of the Bennett Players and is to receive his Gold Speech Pin, In his third year at Bennett. Jack was president of the Junior Council on 'World Affairs and was a winner of the Americanism essay contest. an honor he also earned this year along with being president of the Legion of Honor. Jack can also claim membership in the Student Council and Key Club for three years as well as the Literary Co-Editorship of the BEACON. and. he will receive his Jewelled Honor Pin at graduation. Jack has a great dislike for show-offs and insincere, intolerant people while he says. I like my mom's banana cake, He also likes shirts with button-down collars and baseball 1He's a Yankee fanl. .lack's college plans are indefinite. although he hopes to become a lawyer. and from his record, we are sure he-'ll be a great one. 15
