Kelly Holland, and Mia Powell Dawnne O ' Neal and Dr. Gloria Scott Dawnne O ' Neal, a junior Biology major was one of 30 outstanding students chosen from a nation- wide science, mathematics, and engineering compe- tition. Dawnne received one of the First Annual Historically Black College and University Student Award for Excellence in Science and Technology at the White House, September 24, 1987. V De ' Lisa Hill, Valerie Jones, and Stacy Copeland Members of Beta Kappa Chi submit- ted papers during 45th Joint annual Meeting of National Institute of Science Stacy Copeland won 1st place in science education. Crickets and The Art of Communication was the title of her pa- per. De ' Lisa Hill came in 2nd place with her paper on the AIDS Virus: it ' s life and potential drug treatment . Valerie Jones submitted a paper entitled Deter- mination of Mono-Amie Oxidane Inhibi- tary Activity . 26 mmm
