The Belle System is a Buddy System. Above: Karen E.. Shelly Middleton. EDITORS PAGE The Belle System. There seems to be so much ambiguity to this year ' s theme, The Belle System. That single word, ' system ' is what seems to make the title so ambigu- ous. During the two year plight in working on this year- book I found myself caught up in many complex systems here at Bennett and not all were positive. Don ' t get me wrong, it is not my intention to ' bad mouth ' my soon to be Alma Mater. Bennett has taught me a great deal and if I had to dedicate this annual to one person or one entity I would dedicate it to Bennett College. It was the system that taught me to be independent of my dependencies. As an endnote I would really like to thank all those persons who were patient, loyal, and unyielding in their willingness to help me in the completion of the ' 86- ' 87 annual. — God Bless You All. 142 .
