Basketball Boys The Bennet High School Basketball team got off to a good early season start, winning five of our six games preceeding the Mudecas tournament, the only loss being a one point defeat by Walton. In the Mudecas tourney we defeated top-seeded Clatonia by a 50-45 score, but then lost a 41-42 decision to Douglas in the finals of tournament play. During the re- mainder of the season we won several ball games and lost a few by close scores. At tournament time we seemed to hit the toughest teams in the first or second round of play. At the County tourney, we were defeated by Waverly who went on to win the tournament. ln the district we won our first round game with Roca, but were defeated by Palmyra in a close game. This team went on to win the district and eventually wound up with second place in the State Class D. Tournament. The season's record for the Bennet Aces is ll wins and 8 loses. The reserve team played 12 games winning 8 of them.
