Class Hzstory Thls class began tts educatlonal career rn 1939 Phyllls Wh1te belng the only member of our present class to start her educatron mn the Bennet Publ1c School Harold Kempkes entered the class as a thu-d grade student ln 1942 Erlene Cheney Jomed our class m the f1fth grade Two years later Letha Roeder Jomed the class At the txme of our elghth grade graduat1on Mrs Luclle Bratt gave d1plomas to Phylhs Wh1te Exlene Cheney Letha Roeder Harold Kempkes Roy Root John L1nqu1st and Larry Myers Upon entermg our flrst year of hxgh school we were Jomed by Jlm Hagaman Paul W1les Merlyn Brmdley and Sharon Booton Our flrst act1v1ty was the Freshman lmtlatlon whlch 1 am sure Wrll not be forgotten by our class or the Senror class of 49 Our next year we lost Sharon Booton John Llnqulst and Merlyn Brxndley ln the second semester Durlng our Junlor year we lost Larry Myers and Roy Root thus reducxng our class to slx members One of our brggest events durmng th1s year was our Jurnor class play entltled That's The Trcket We also gave the Sen1ors of 1951 a banquet the theme bemg The Garden of Frrendslup At the begmnmg of our last year of hrgh school Lelghton Gustafson Jmned our class We had many act1v1t1es all durlng thrs year Our Senlor class play was entxtled Two Days To Marry Then came our Senlor sneak day and our class dec1ded that Kansas Clty Mlssourr would be an xdeal place to tour We saw many rnterestlng slghts and all of us had an enjoyable tlme On May 6 1952 the Jumor class gave us a lovely banquet thexr theme was Hawauan Crulse Now at the t1me of our graduatron our class can be remmded of the thmgs we have done all through school Our seven Semors are Phyllxs Whlte Erlene Cheney Letha Roeder Harold Kempkes J1rn Hagaman Paul Wlles and Lemghton Gustafson and we are all very proud to be graduatrng as the Class of 1952 Class Poem of 1952 In nmeteen hundred fifty two On the twenty second of May Seven Senlors heaved a slgh For rt was Commencement Day Our plcture w11l hang on the wall Class of 52 Wxth the rest For nevermore w1ll we wander Through the halls of B H S For our hlgh school days are over We look back on them wlth zest For Bennet I-hgh School students Wmll remember us at our best 0 1 , . 1 1 1 1 1 , . 1 1 1 1 ' ' I 1 1 ' ' 11 ' ll ' 1 1 - ' ll ' ' ll 1 1 - - 1 ' ll ll ' , . , . 1 1 Il ' Il 5 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 ' 1 ' 1 1 1 ' -- ' ' 1 1 1 - 1 1
