From 1980 to 1983 she served on the Committee on Professional and Judicial Ethics, Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and is currently a member of the Judiciary Committee. He is a former chairman of the American Association of Publishers, currently serves on a number of boards, and is a member of the Library of Congress Center for the Book Executive Committee. For the past five years he has been an attorney at the Public Citizen Litigation Group, a Washington D.C. public interest law firm founded by Ralph Nader.
