THE STAFF Establishing a CSL yearbook seemed, to those of us who began this project in the fall of 1982, to be something worthwhile and perhaps even a lot of fun to put together. As the school year progressed, bit-by-bit the book took shape. At times the work went smoothly. More often, forced to compete with the study time required to meet course obligations, progress was slow and difficult, sometimes coming to a complete halt for weeks at a time. There are parts of the book that we had hoped might be somewhat better. This is not for any lack of willingness to do the work required, it is only that time permits just so much. All-in-all we rather like the way it turned out, and we sincerely hope that you will too. It is with great pride that we present this book, RES NOVA, to the finest lawyers to come out of CSL to date-The Graduating Class of 1983. We would like to acknowledge the cooperation of Yeshiva University, the administration of the Bejamin N. Cardozo School of Law, The Forum, Larry Margolin, and the many students who rooted us on in our first effort to bring a yearbook to Cardozo. ' We especially appreciate the generousity and enthusiasm displayed by the many families and friends of the class of 1983 who responded to our appeal earlier this year. They, more than anyone are responsible for the successful completion of RES NOVA. We greatfully acknowledge their permission to utilize their unique perspective of what lawyering is all about. - At this point-in-time having a class yearbook may not seem of monumental importance. But many years from now, when you leaf through this book, we hope that you are inundated with pleasant memories.
