And also we knew that study hall would always he a reminder ol' those who had difficulty in conforming to the rules liy which our lives at llossc were determined. lu our happier moments, when the gloom ol' deten- tion was not hovering over us, we would leave school in a hurst of gaiety, perhaps to hop into the car of one ol' our friends to go riding. lt wasnlt really important what kind of car it was - iust as long as it ran and would get us where we were going. XYhat rr-ally mat- tered was the fun that one could have in the car, laying. tor the moment, the weighty cares ol' school lille far hehind. THE COMMUNITY CENTER was another place where we often went to get away from it all. XYc went on NVednesday nights, clad in llermudas, hlue leans, or other types ol' casual wear. Listening to records, usually spun hy a popular local disc jockey, we danced the hours away, consumed Cokes and other food, and talked to lricnds from our and other schools, l'rulay night at the center was a more lormal allair. XXX' tossed on our glad rags and spent the evening dancing to the dreamy melodies ol' an orchestra. Anticipation runs' high as these students look forward to I1 possible .state crown for their Imilrlogs. This scene is typical of the enthu.s-iusm that reigns in our halls during all athletic events. One of the unusual affairs which took place around school was the style show, sponsored hy a local cloth- ing store. Xlemhers ol' Student Council and the foreign student committee pitched in and helped to make the program a really' big success. The theme was centered around Bosses foreign exchange student, Anastasia Baka of Greece. It portrayed many of her experiences in America, and at the same time revealed many new styles for the teenage set. All in all, it was a worthy project and we all had a good time producing it. ANIONC ALL THIS HUM of activity were the times when the campus trees and flowers were in full hloom. the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and we were just too 'ispriiig-fcvcrishl' to do anything except sit under a full-hlossomed tree. VVe always took a lot -of pride in our campus, which is one of the most heau- tit-ul in the city. and tried to keep it reasonably clean. The athletic ollicc, located in a convenient spot near the boys, gym and the journalism room. was a husy and popular place. Under the direction of Charles Nic- Clary. athletic manager. this office was smoothly-run and friendly. ln addition, it was the hest place to go when we wanted information concerning any athletic events, or to purchase tickets or other necessities. A less official service of this estahlishment was to serve as a place for exchanging the latest news and just passing time in general. These things were just a few details which helped make our years at Bosse the happiest. the most educa- tional. and the most spirit-filled 'of our lives,
