And now, in this year of l957, as ARCHBISHOP BRADY be- gins the work of his office, an important milestone has been reached by St. Margaret's. For half a century she has striven to uphold the ideals of young Catholic wom- anhood by teaching the principles of religion and their practical application to daily living. For fifty years she has striven to send her students out to take their places in society as informed and steadfast Catholics. ggwliilitlwlzjwvyiif A D FRIENDS Faculty and Administration page Freshmen Page 4 5 Sophomores Page 7 9 Juniors page I0 I2 Q7 491' 54- '-QE-Q-cf?-9 A, wggzv Sic vb 2 Tig SA? A miracle of hard work and ingenuity went into its transformation from an elegant home rich with handsome carved woodwork a graceful central staircase tapestried walls tiled fireplaces and a high-ceilinged beamed ballroom on the top floor which could be reached by an elevator! The student body found in the homey atmosphere of Main otiices library chapel cafeteria classrooms and reception rooms.
