This year a planning commiTTee was organized To acT Tor The class in handling pre- paraTory deTails Tor The various senior acTiviTies beTore presenTing Them To The class Tor Tinal decision. On This commiTTee were Lafern and Louise Oakley, Jack Lund, Bill Jansen, Anne Mahan, Bob Jeha and Clay FugaTe. Their TirsT work was obTaining inTormaTion on senior sweaTers. The class Tinally selecTed a blue sweaTer wiTh a gold block B emblem on which were embossed The blue numbers '47, The commiTTee also made The selecTion of senior announcemenfs and handled The wriTing oT The class will and prophecy. , ' The seniors collecTecl and disTribuTed iosh presenTs aT The annual ChrisTmas assembly on December 20. In February, The seniors selecTed Sing Tor Your Supper as Their senior play, which was presenTed on April I8 wiTh a casT oT senior sTudenTs direcTed by Miss Alice Crooks. The varsiTy Teams were made up largely of senior boys, wiTh ArneTT, GaIbreTh, I-lurTado, Jansen, Jeha, Jerome, Lund, MaTThews, and Shields playing TooTball, and Jeha, McKeown and Young on The TirsT sTring in baskefball. The senior girls compeTed in all inTerclass compeTiTions and came ouT on Top in A and B volleyball. Socially, The seniors had a wonderful Time aT Their annual picnic and swimming parTy, and They had one eleganT Tormal banqueT and ball on May 9. As graduaTion approached, The seniors were busy disTribuTing, personal cards and phoTographs and having Memory Books signed by school Triends. They selecTed an American Tlag Tor The audiTorium and a scoreboard Tor The Tield To presenT To The school as Their giTT.
