it During the past year the Block B Society, which is com- posed of letterrnen of Benicia High School, had one of the most successful years in its history under the leadership of President Chet Carr. . The Annual Block B Dance, highlighted by a stage show which featured some of the Block B buxom beauties, was held lanuary l3. Other activities included a snow trip complete with skiing and tobogganing. Early in February the initiation of new members was held with five lettermen being admitted to the Society. Wonderful cooperation among officers and members to- gether with good attendance at the meetings made all the activities successful and made this an outstanding year. Other officers for the year were Bob Pearce, Vice-President, David Galbreath, Secretary-Treasurer, and Dwight Hamro, Coun- cil Bepresentative. Under he leadership of these boys and their advisors, Coach Phil Goettel, George Drolette and Barney Corrigan, the society participated in many school activities including the sale of cokes, coffee, and hot dogs at football games.
