Drama Troupe Unleashes New Performers j i The Student directed workshops were once again a tremendous suc- cess. Jim Siddall, Karen Overbey, Andrea Markelz and Mark Susina were the four senior directors who put forth great effort to turn out four wonderful plays. The evening was well balanced, as the performances included two dramas and two com- edies. Portrait of a Madonna By Ten- nesse Williams; directed by Jim Sid- dall. This play told of an elderly woman who never stopped living in the past, yet the present doomed her. Black Comedy written by Peter Schaffer and directed by Karen Overby, was full of ridiculous situa- tions placed in the dark (which actually represented the light) and vice-versa. BirdBath was written by Leonardi Melfi and directed by Andrea Markelz. This told of the mental abuse of one young woman and a man desperatly trying to help her. Missing Link was written by Jack Sharkey and directed by Mark Susi- na. Missing Link was placed in a sub- urban home and told of the story of middle aged woman suffering from a long lost love, who later returns to her surprise. 66
