Science Adds Two Teachers : hrJl Mr. Donald Dennerlein, Chemistry, (Above Right): Mr. Dennerlein en- joys boating, fishing and camping. He also enjoys travel, having driven across the continental United States and visited the major cities of eastern Canada. He feels he would be a per- fect candidate to sign on to sail a two man sail boat around the world. He is a gadget nut and wants to be able to work things like computers as well as find out how they work. Mr. Denner- lein enjoys music and plays the har- monica, guitar and accordian, but strictly for himself as an audience. Mr. John Pfeiffer, Chemistry, (Above Left): Mr. Pfeiffer traveled throughout the United States and Canada with his family as a child. His interests, aside from his wife and family, include sewing and partici- pating in athletics of all kinds, espe- cially racquetball. Mr. Pfeiffer also enjoys listening to music and good conversation. Mrs. Esther Geitner, Biology (Center Left): Mrs. Geitner ' s hobbies span a wide range of interests. She enjoys canoeing and fishing, while her other outdoor activities include birding, especially during the spring and fall migrations and photography and classification of local plants. Mrs. Geitner also is involved in music, playing the flute, recorder and guitar. Mr. Robert Szorc, Physics and Adv- anced Algebra-Trigonometry. Every weekend during football season Mr. Szorc can be seen standing behind the concessions booth, as he coordin- ates students in the difficult task of selling hot dogs, coffee, and candy. He also sponsors various ski trips, and serves as Math-Science Club moderator.

Mr. Goforth, Biology, (Above): Mr. Goforth assists in coaching Varsity Football. Mr. Paul Baubly, Chemistry and Phy- sics. Another recent addition to the Benet family, Mr. Baubly enjoys many varying activities, including sports of all kinds, particularly golf, baseball, basketball, swimming and bicycling. His other interests include dancing, especially to Rock and New Wave, and listening to music. Among Mr. Baubly ' s country favorites are Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson, while his jazz preferences are Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea. Mr. Joseph Kilbride, Biology, (Right): Mr. Kilbride spends the majority of his time consumed in prep- aration and coaching the Sopho- more Basketball Team. Recently he has traveled to Rocky Mountain National Park, the Grand Canyon, Mexico, San Francisco, Eugene, Oregon for the Olympic trials and the Grand Tetons.

Not Just Mathematicians Mrs. Colleen Muellner, Math, (Right) Mr. Kenneth Leszczynski, Math, (Center Right): In his second year of teaching math, Mr. Leszczynski also assists in coaching Boys ' Varsity Basketball. He also enjoys baseball and all sports. He is originally from South Bend, Indiana and claims Hoosiers are the best basketball fans in the country, Woosh! Mrs. Cheryll Kelly, Math, (Below Right): Now in her second year teaching at Benet, Mrs. Kelly is thor- oughly enjoying it. Married less than a year ago, she had the opportunity to honeymoon in Hawaii. Her favorite hobbies are playing the organ and Aerobic dancing. Mr. Charles Schumacher, Counselor, (Below Left): In addition to his duties as Junior counselor, Mr. Schu- macher teaches math classes. He also coaches sophomore football with Mr. White. Besides spending time with his three daughters, Mr. Schumacher occupies his leisure time with various wood working pro- jects. Mr. James Pignatiello, Counselor (Center Left): Mr. Pignatiello is a warm weather person who enjoys the summer months. He takes pride in planting, working, and harvesting his garden each year. Mr. Pignatiello en- joys most sports, especially baseball and is a member of the IHSA as a registered baseball official.
