Themes Add To Sockhopj This year ' s Social Committee, under chairperson Angela Mattern, planned many sockhops throughout the year for student enjoyment. Angela ' s committee added the idea of giving the sockhops a theme. Stu- dents were invited to go punk or early 50 ' s greasers to add to the fun of the evening. Live bands and records appeared at the sockhops which fea- tured groups such as Rampage and Mr. K. Students who grew tired of dancing could play video games or have a can of pop in the cafeteria. In addition of their fine job of planning sockhops for students, the Social Committee planned a successful Turnabout Dance which took place on February 27.
