Cadets Crown Knights The Cadets evened their season record to 2-2 with a 19-7 victory over Windsor Forest. The Cadet offense rolled up 331 total yards and 3 TDs. The first Cadet score came on a 32 yard pass from quarterback Richard Lutz to tightend Larry O'Hayer. The game was tied at 7 apiece until 30 seconds in the first half, Brian Anderson went over from the one yard line. This gave the Cadets needed momentum going into the second half. The Cadet defense came alive in the second half to shut down the Knight offense. The defense limited the Knights to four first downs after intermission. Cadets were led by captain Larry O'Hayer and Barry Downs. Outstanding play was turned in by Jerry Hogan, Chris Tilton, Mark Stewart, Andy Martin. MVP was Richard Lutz. 87

Tigers Stun Cadets The Benedictine Cadets were defeated for the second time this season in a stunning 9-7 loss to the Bradwell Tigers. The big play came with 38 seconds left in the game, when the Bradwell kicker booted a 38 yard field goal that ended the Cadets' hopes of a victory. The game began with Bradwell scoring first on a 70 yard pass. The extra point was missed. The Cadets then took the kickoff and drove 65 yards for a score when quarterback Richard Lutz hit split end Brian Watson on a 12 yard pass. Donald Lowe converted the extra point. The next three quarters were scoreless until the last seconds, when the game was decided. The cadets were led by captains Jerry Hogan and Mark Stewart. Cadets Impound Bulldogs The Cadets improved their record to 3-2 and 1-0 in the region with a 28-13 slashing of the Beach Bulldogs. The Cadets rolled up 265 yardstotal offense and 3 TD's, while the defense added a touchdown which resulted from a Bulldog turnover. The Cadets first score came on a 1 yard run by Chris Tilton. The other two offensive scores came on 2 TD passes from quarterback Richard Lutzto Larry O'Hayer and Brian Watson. The defense caused four turnovers highlighted by a fumble recovery in the end zone by Jack Aleshire. As a whole the Cadets took another step forward in reaching their team goal of making the playoffs. The Cadets were led by captains Todd Robinson and Bill Hussey. Outstanding playwas turned in by Scott Ellis, Barry Downs, Larry O'Hayer, Brian Watson, and Peter Brennan. The M.V.P. of the game was Scott Ellis. 88
