Sf ,' 'fx DEDICATED TO - H 'Y -2 A chapter in American Church history began 25 years ago. The Benedictine priory of Saint Andrew's in the diocese of Cleveland was elevated to an abbey July 13, 1934. From the one priest who came to Cleveland February 1, 1922 from Saint Procopius abbey, Lisle, Ill., to prepare the establishment of the monastery, the campus-located religious house of the priests and Brothers who are associated with Benedictine presently numbers S1 priests, nine seminarians and 19 Brothers. Besides founding and staffing Benedictine since 1927, Saint Andrew's administers two Cleveland parishes and one each in Chicago, East Saint Louis, Ill., Superior, Wis., and Rap- son, Mich. Chaplaincy posts in Middletown, Pa., and Tinley Park, Ill., also are filled by Saint Andrew priests. On this, its silver jubilee, we dedicate che 1960 Benedictine to Saint Andrew's abbey, and pray that God will bless this monastic institute as it enters the second 25 years of labor for Christ.
