Benedictine's 974 students are registered at 110 Catholic and non Catholic churches. Of these parishes, 102 belong to the Cleveland Catholic diocese. Experieneec The Cleveland Catholic diocese is under the leadership of its archbishop- bishop, Most Rev. Edward F. Hoban. As- sisting the Archbishop with episcopal duties are auxiliary bishops, Most Rev. Floyd L. Begin and Most Rev. John J. Krol. In these prelatcs Benedictine students find men of many and varied accomplish- ments, excellent organizers, splendid ad- ministrators, deeply spiritual leaders whose warm personalities and approachable friendliness are a constant inspiration to higher efforts in the cause of Christ. Kojis, O.S.B., who with this term completes 13 consecutive scholas- tic years as school head. This year we especially congratulate Abbot Theodore, who on April 16 cele- brated his Hftieth birthday. We pray that he may continue to head Benedictine for many years to come. Under Father Abbot Benedictine is experiencing extraordinary academic growth. The academic development which the President is fostering is evidenced by the new curricula which have been estab- lished, identifying strongly the school as a college preparatory institution. Father Abbot's aim is to improve the intellectual quality of the Benedictine stu- dent, and to adequately equip him for the demands of the world and to do God's will. PRESIDE The President plays a very important part in personality development.
