Benedictine marked the opening of its thirty-second consecutive scho- lastic year Sept. 5 with a solemn high Mass in Saint Benedict church. Father Jerome, O.S.B., chaplain, was celebrant and Father John J. Gerrity, assistant pastor of Saint Therese church, preached. On October 10, students assisted at the ponti ficial requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of His Holiness Pope Pius XII.
