W, E BENEDICTINE FATHERS are happy to be associated with our students, not only during this most important phase of their lives, but also long after they have graduated. The task of learning, unfortunately, necessitates more unwelcome effort and discipline than play, and hence it is no wonder that not many lads are apt to regard their school years with actual joy. But, by the strange alchemy of time both the bitter and the sweet experiences of school will blend into pleasant memories. It is my sincere wish, therefore, that the charm of this yearbook will increase with the passing of years; that it will stimulate the memory to produce many moments of fond recollections; finally, that it will prompt many a reader to offer a prayer for God's continued blessing upon the efforts of the Fathers. 7'
