It was in answer to his kind invitation that the late Rev. Gregory K. Vaniscak, O.S.B., and his confreres, came to Cleveland. The Benedictine motto, Ora et labora, guided him in his youthful days and this same motto is characteristic of his episcopal work. In filial appreciation of his constant friendship and in deep gratitude for his part in founding Benedictine, We, the staff of the 1940 Blue and White dedicate this Annual to his Excellency, the Most Reverend Archbishop Joseph Schrembs, S.T.D., D.D., Bishop of Cleveland. l P l Most Rev.
