Cafe. A woman came over to our table and it was Janice Wolfe, now known as Mrs. Stuart Nelson. She told us that Stuart dIdn't get enough to eat, so they decided to own a cafe. While we were stID there, Janice unk us to see the new Benedict Hosptal There we saw Mary Hanline, who was the head nurse of the hospital. Her latest patient was Mr Stoetzel, the teacher of Benedict High, who had in iured himself when he went horseback riding and fell off we left Benedict and went to Denver. We went to the University and there we saw Robert Weiss. He has a shorthand teacher and he also still has more girls in Els class than boys, but he didn't mind since he was the only boy in his shorthand class at Benedict Stopping at Chicago for rest, we saw Berdeen Sackschewsk ke asked her what she was doing now, and she said just taking easy, She was married to a millionaire from the University of Nebraska, and all she did was eat, sleep, and dream of her money Berdeen told us that Ardith Junge was now an opera singer and was with the Metropolitan Opera She always id have a beautiful voice Next, ve stopped in New York To our surprise we saw Kathleen Ochsner. You should have seen herl Her figure was out of this world She told us that she was a model for a fashion company in New York City. Finally we stopped at San Francisco where we saw Loretta Pohl. She told us that she was a life guard and had a terrible time keeping away from the wolves Now you can see vhat the seniors of lv56 are doing in their future. 0 9 D I , I 3 C , a e or . L' ass H1 tory September, 1952, seventeen freshmen enlisted for active duty on the B H S Liner for a term of four years Mr Svoboda was our commanding officer and Mickey Hile was officer in charge. The enlistees were Margaret Dow, r-my same, Beverly Hamel, Kathleen Ochgnfr, M1f1kByH1Je, Beversy Hosldm, Dorm Hoskins, Ardith Jung, Patricia Mauen Harvey Pickrel, Patricia Piper, Loretta Pohl, Betty Rhoades, Miriam Saas, Berdeen Sackschewsky, Robert Weiss, and Janice Wolfe Mr Svoboda and Mary Hanline transferred for duty elsewhere Mr Donohoe was placed in command Initiation and class parties made the year complete Our second year of duty was headed by Mr Finkle and Margaret Doak won first prize on our homecoming decorations Mrs Beachler and Mrs. Svoboda were our commanding officers during our third year Janice Wolfe was our top officer for our third year Mickey Hile and Patricia Mauer left our crew, and Mary Hamline returned We accom plished two big projects during our junior year Junior Senior Banquet and our Junior Class Play Our fourth and nnal year hasmxmn,and Mr Svoboda is again our com ander Margaret Doak is top officer Our annual and senior play are the highlights of this year Pat Piper Nickels left the crew Those who receive honorable discharges are Margaret Doak, Mary Hanhne, Beverly Hattel,Beverly Hoskins, Donna Hoskins, Ardith Junge, Harvey Pickrel, Loretta Pohl, Betty Rhoades, Miriam Saas, Kathleen Ochsner,Berdeen Sackschewsky,Robert Weiss, and Janice Wolfe The crew will take a trip to Colorado after receiving their separa tion papers Harvey Plckrel, Robert Weiss, and Janice Wolfe Cla 5 Will We, the class of 1956, in the town of Benedict, the county of York, and the state of Nebraska, being in as good mental condition as usual, and in much better temper than usual, do hereby make this, our last wDl and testa ment, rendering void and of no avail any former will or wills that may have been previously made at, ln, and during any period of temporary optimism this manner we do dispose of our possessions Margaret Doak, will my thoughtfulness to Julie McLean Mary Hanline, will my studying ability to Larry Rhoades Beverly Hattel, will my quietness to Loretta Sackschewsky We, Beverly and Donna Hoskins, wDl our harmony to Harold Deprez and Lyle McCartney Kathleen Ochsner, will my running walk to Dora Keen Harvey Pickrel, wDl.my ahhity to pardcipate in sports to Norma Reetz Loretta Pohl, will my smile to Jodelle Obermier Betty Rhoades, will my giggles to Marilyn Baker Miriam Saas, will my ability to read poetry to Gary Wilson Berdeen Sackschewsky, will my pep to Duane Cites Robert Weiss, will my mischievousness to Julia Peterson Janice kolfe, will my ambition to Jim Jose the Juniors we will our books and desks and lots of luck the Sophomores we will our high grades providing they keep them high the Freshmen we will our abuity to get along with all of the teachers through their four years of high school Will the high school teachers please come forward?
