Valed cfory Parents, teachers, fellow students 1 am indeed honored to be abb to address to you this evening This is we have been looking forward for the now tat it is here we are saddened at Tonight we are leaving Benedic Some of us will enter college, others will but our group will rever be united as it has past twelve years and it is with sorrow th t to our teachers and to each other We sincerely appreciate the advantages present tn valedlctory the one night to which last twelve years, but te thought of leaving t High School forever find positions, been during the we say farewell for study that have been placed at our disposal We trust that we have used them to the utmost of our ability Under the kindly direction of our superlntndent and the skilled leadelship of our instructors, we have finished the work prescribed for us and are to be graduated To those instructors we are deeply grateful for their interest and understanding To our friends, the undergraduates we wish you success and happiness Our days together will never be forgotten and our love and loyalty will always belong to our school Each of us hopes that he wil be able to go out into the world and make a success of himself This will mean lots of work for all of us and even more study and concentatlon then we have had to do during the last twelve years Tis has been just a start for us Now it is up to each of us whether we will be successful May you, in the future recall only our virtues, forget ting our faults, and may the coming years bring you nothing but kind recollections of those of us who now bid you good Bonnie Pickrel Salafaror y Fellow classmates parents, teachers and guests As the salutatorian of the class of 1955 I wish D wel come you to our graduation exercises This is the goal to wards which we have worked through our education we should be prepared to take our place in society We here in Benedict H'gh school are fortunate to have a competent adminlstation and facnities that are not available to some high school students lhls school offers an adequate cirriculum to provide is students the basic material for al most any vocation or profession he might wish to enter We owe our educational opportunity to the parents and teachers who have encouraged and helped us and to the school board, who stands behind the administration and provides a well equipped school building in which to study Although we are leaving Benedict digh bchool as graduates this is by no means the end of learning We are now going out to gain greater knowledge about the world in which we live, and how to apply that knowledge in the home on the farm or where ever we may serve The school of experiences to Come will add much to our storehouse of knowledge Again, we bid you welcome, and we are gad that you have come to share this occasion with us Merrill Walkup O . a , . , - l .
