FUTURE NURSES' CLUB FUTURE NURSES CLUB The Future Nurses Club has had a very busy and successful year under the very capable sponsorship of Mrs. E. Hyatt. There are about 25 girls in the clubg and they have all had an active part in the club's activities such as immunization, eye testing, flourine treatment, ring worm tests, collection for St. Joseph Nurses Home fund, and other activities, Future plans are to sponsor a Cancer Assembly, field trip, banquet for Mothers at end of year, which will be sponsored by the Iimior girls, for the Mothers and Seniors. DEBATE CLUB DEBATE CLUB The Debate Teams under the adequate coaching of Mrs. Pitman, did a fine job for first year debaters winning five out of eight debates, The teams were composed of Celia Jagger and Eva Denason on the affirmative and lack Niles and Bill Groves on the negative, Bendle met Davison, Corunna, Swartz Creek, and Elsie, debating the question: Resolved: That the American People Should Reject the Welfare State, We were selected by the University of Michigan to hold the elimination contests, Bendle lost to Whitimore in the semi-final round, St, Louis being the wirming school in the elimination series. A plaque was presented to our school on April 27, 1951 by the University of Michigan and certificates of merit and award to each debater from the Detroit Free Press for their fine work, OFFICHIS President -- Bill Groves Secretary -- Celia Jagger V.
