Austin, STUDENT COUNCIL STUDENT COUNCIL John Tune took upon himself the duties of President of the Student Council in the year 1950-51 and with the guidance of Mr, Judson A, Hudnut accomplished much, At the opening of the year the Student Council sponsored the Royalty Dance and later the semi-formal Sweetheart Ball. The project of selling Bendle cushions was started and the selling of pencils and pennants was continued from last year, The annual Christmas tree was decorated and placed in the hall along with other decora- tions to help arouse the Christmas spirit around school, The accomplishments of the Student Council this year were due to the cooperative spirit of the sponsor, officers, and the class representatives, 58
