aaa alhdfor As Class 51 rushes down the walk followed by the pests, Mr. Study and Mr. Examina- tion, he bumps into Mr, Hudnut his psychiatrist at the corner, In a few minutes Mr. Study and Mr. Examination catch up with him and loudly accuse him of not attempting to study and fail- ing to pass Mr, Examination, Mr, Hudnut says, Calm down, calm downl We will settle this in my office, Class 51, you may begin now. Well, Doc, it all began back in 1947 when I became a Freshman, I felt shy and bashful and wished to be more like my classmates -- Eva Denason, President, Betty Dubenin, Vice President, Shirley Lackey, Secretary, Beverly Boyle, Treasurer. Mr. Study and Examination chimed in together and said, It was the only year you did work, Doc Hudnut said, Please don't interrupt and let the man continue, Through my diligent study, I became a Sophomore, My pals -- Norman Barrow, President, Ronnie Fisher, Vice President, Lucy Jones, Secretary, Eunice Chew, Treasurer, and I sponsored a dance by which we became more impudent, I became popular throughout the school for my performance of the Ituiior Play titled Atomic Blonde , Under the capable leadership of Ronnie Fisher, President, Norman Barrow, Vice President, Betty Dubenin, Secretary, and Bob Pardonnet, Treasurer, we sponsored the Junior and Senior Prom, Mr, Study and Examination at this point leaped to their feet and disgustedly pronounced that that was all Class 51 did was to sponsor a dance and not study, Class 51 indignantly jumped to his feet and protested by saying, I passed, didn't I , Mr. Hudnut screams, Please, Mr, 51, don't excite yourself, You may go on nowf' As my first days as a Senior I was very excited and much thrilled, It was through me that Norman Barrow, President, Duane Valenti, Vice President, Betty Dubenin, Secretary, and Bob Pardonnet, Treasurer became leaders for the class. But it's only because of Miss Stewart and Mr, Moon, your sponsors, that you finally made the grade , exclaimed Mr, Study and Mr, Examination, Doctor Hudnut announces that Class 51 has a guilty complex because he has not studied as hard as he could, but that he will have great expectations for him in the future, Mr, Study and Examination nod their heads in agreement and say they shall not bother him in the future if he shall promise to do his best. This Class 51 promises as he departs from the psycho's office, Carole Chevalier Glen Ingram 29

fa, ec, This is your three on the spot reporters on NBC the National Broadcasting system bringing you Time Marches On sponsored by DUN , the p'roduct which promises to give you a brighter look out on the future, It has done what DID didn't do, Now the news in brief: Jean Marsh is now a driver for the Flint Trolley Coach, We have often ridden with her, She has given Violet Clevenhagen, who now owns a Wrecker service, quite a bit of business, Doris Mole and Bobbie Lindsey have often given her business, as they are now chauffeurs at the YMCA. As you know Bendle always had its Hot-rod drivers, Ronnie Fisher and Leland Liebengood have made use of their ability and are now racing at Santa Anita. Peggy Williams and Gerry Doughty are now Co-owners of the Launderette, Gerry saving every penny Peg gives him so that he can buy new Bendix washers so that his hands won't be so red and rough, The Coughlin boys, Larry and Jerry, have started a dancing school, Their motto is Learn to Dance in 84 easy lessons or we buy you a new pair of shoes to replace the ones you wore out learning to dance, Ahl This we can't forget to tell you, Dick Hall is now working in a refrigerator factory, l-lis job is sitting in refrigerators to see if the light goes off when the door closes, Norman Barrow now owns a florist shop, He spends most of his time raising little Roses and he has turned out to be Burton's number one gossip, He told us that Eunice Chew is buying the large enonomy size of Pablum, for her little twins, and that Doris Fulmer is a torch singer at the lone Star Inn, Norman supplies us with some interesting news, Every night we see Jerry Zielinski running down to the Burton to see his girl who is a bub- ble dancerg and running behind him we see Tom Gordon, Tom goes along in hopes that the girl has a sister or a girlfriend, Bob Barkus and Erich Hempel are now working at Charlie's Meat Market, tackling people and dragging them in as customers, Phyllis Coleman and Jackie McLaughlin are their best sup- pliers of bubble gum, inventing the kind that makes the big economy, everlasting, never busting kind of bubbles, Jack Dodge and Dick Fish run Schakletons, Not as a pool room, of course, but as a lec- ture hall, Joe Frost is their famous janitor, Kathrine Magoulick and Connie DuPilka have now joined the happy class of people who work at the AC and their handsome understanding boss is none other than woman hater of 195I, Bill Groves, Believe it or not but Bendle turned out some very good teachers in 1951, Bobbie Wood- ward, is the head coach of Yale University's hocky team, Brian Hubbold and Bill Clifford, are coaching the girls' basketball team at Vassar College, fThose lucky students,j 30
