Without their willing help, this annual could not have been published. With their help, we have tried to make this annual a yearbook which will be of interest and will hold happy memories ot high school to all students this year and in later years.

Valedictorian Margie Peak, valedicforian, has finished four years of hard work resuliing in a l.2l average. Margie enlered Bend schools in fhe firsf grade and finished her primary schooling here wifh fhe excepiion of +he sixfh grade, which she spenf in Wyoming. She plans io finish her educafion a'r Oregon Sfaie, where she will major in Home Economics. Margie has been one of fhe mos+ acfive slu- denfs in ihe Senior class. She is presidenf of Girls' League and is an aciive member of Pep Club. Torch Honor, Leriergirls, fumbling ieam. Pine Murmurs slaff, choir, band, orchesfra, and also has faken par? in one of +he siudenf body plays. She was honored by being chosen as one of fha represenfafives +o Girls' Sfaie. Margie is known for her cheerfulness. fairness, greaf dependabiliiy, and sinceriiy, for which fha senior class has reason 'ro be proud of her. 'KK Salutatorian Pal Blakely, wllh a close second io ihaf of ihe Valedic'rorian's grade average, finished four years of high school wilh an average of l.28. She eniered Bend schools Twelve years ago, and has a++ended Them ever since. For her high- er educalion, Pai plans lo aiiend Lewis B1 Clark college in Porfland. Pal has been ouisianding in faking parm' in an unusual number of aciivilies, and working hard af each one. She is a member of Pep Club, Lefiergirls, Torch Honor, fumbling Team, Drum and bugle, Pine Murmurs slafi, orchesira, choir, band, sexielie, and rally squad. She has been sfudeni body paymasler, chairman of ihe high school radio program, and one of 'the maioreiies. She was also chosen This year as queen of 'rhe Junior-Senior Prom, an honor which was well deserved.
