They considered various methods of making school buildings larger and of transporting stu- dents to them but finally decided the best possible solution would be to build a new high school in the north end of town. September 13 1950 Mr Lawrence Olpin was commis- sloned as the architect of the high school. Temporary plans were made and presented to the board of educa- tion and the superintendent After the plans were ac- cepted bids were open to the public. ehool bond issue Won December 3, 1949. The 351,414,000 issue proposed by the school system was bal- loted upon by the public. Because parents were vitally interested in their children's education, they went to the polls and voted for the issue.
