Russell Tanner, Asael Moulton, Leonard Davidson and Mrs. Russell B, Petty. the problem was recognized The Ogden City Board of Education realized the seriousness of the siutation and began research to find the best means of solving the problem. They considered various methods of making school buildings larger and of transporting stu- dents to them but finally decided the best possible solution would be to build a new high school in the north end of town. September 13 1950 Mr Lawrence Olpin was commis- sloned as the architect of the high school. Temporary plans were made and presented to the board of educa- tion and the superintendent After the plans were ac- cepted bids were open to the public. ehool bond issue Won December 3, 1949. The 351,414,000 issue proposed by the school system was bal- loted upon by the public. Because parents were vitally interested in their children's education, they went to the polls and voted for the issue.
