Kolb Junior High, Rialto, California Observing During the 1980-81 school year we did and learned many new things. All of these things affected each one of us differently. J i This year Kolb students had many op- portunities to show school spirit and to earn class competition points. They dressed up as one of the many Halloween activities. Requirements such as, good citizenship, grades and attendance, were expected for some of the clubs and as- semblies. This made up a big part of Kolb ' s 1980-81 School Life. 1. Always working to make good grades. School contains many goals to be reached, achieving your personal goals can be very satisfying. Learning can be diffi- cult, but we try anyway, then we are happy we did because the knowledge we gain will benefit us forever. We are always meeting new people who become lifelong friends and they add to the memory of a happy school life. I 1. These times have made us realize how important our school life really is. Doing many new things, unlike when you were younger seem very exciting. Letter K Members downmg around. Every year at Kolb )r. High a monthly Skating party was held at Holiday Roller Rink. The party usually lasted from seven to nine in the even- ing. Students in fourth quarter Letter K last year got to go to Fiesta Village in the morning and got to enjoy the many activities such as, Minia- ture Golf, the Waterslides and Bumperboats. After an exciting morning, the students went to Lilac Park to eat lunch, climb trees, and play games. For the people who dressed up class competition points were given. Activities We Siiared And now we end this year ' s activities with the traditional and long awaited Teacher ' s Assembly. The Teachers Assembly is usually held right before Christmas vacation and is sort of a Christmas present from the teachers to the students. It is one of the many assemblies shared by the teachers and the students. The Teachers Assembly is also a time when teachers can show their acting ability. This year the assembly was a trip down memory lane with Ma and Pa telling their past Christmas ' . f Determination Shown This year ' s football team was a team of brave young men. Even though they w eren ' t a winning team they had winning players. Though the results were not all that one would desire, an undefeated season, our boys never stopped their determination toward the goal of victory. We saw it in ourselves, each other, and in our teac hers. All of us were glad when the year ended, but deep down inside wc really wish we could stay longer.
