Student Council gives pupils a voice in school .4 Completing a particularly active yea' was the Student Council. Besides home coming, a semi-formal dance, and this Student Government Leadership Confer ence, the organization also sponsored al, all-school party with a Roaring Twentie: theme and the music of the Idle Few The Student Council provided loungu areas around the cafeteria and the stu dent center. As in past years, the Ameri can Foreign Exchange Student progra was enhanced by having a student fro Brazil. To promote friendship, Howd Week was organized, with name tag and activities being held to make nev- student acquaintances. Executive committee members were: Fira Row: Deb Shannon, Parliainentarian, Lind Newman, Historian, Jane Stites, vice-pres Kathie German, Sec. Second Row: Mr. Ro Lewis, sponsor, Mr. John Shaw, sponsor, Ph Dorrell, Treas., Ralph Perdue, Treas., Ra Poland, member of Exec. Committee, Gan Tomlin, Pres. Members of last years' Student Council were: First Row: Ray Poland, Pam Asdale, Ralph Perdue, Phil Dorrell, Gary Tomlin, Jane Stites, Kathie German, Linda Newman, Maggie Scarton, Vicki Lamar. Second Row: Mr. Shaw, sponsor, Claudia Helm, Latona Tarrents, Sandy Smiley, Chris Martin, Linda Eaton, Kathy Gibb, Beverly Hays, Sue Miley, Mr. Lewis, sponsor. Third Row: Debbie Cook, John Reid, Debbie Osborne, Jan Garvin, Ray Schroeder, Diann Woodson, Denise Hughes, Suzi Galo- vic, Susie Elliot, Cathy Stiles, Sandi Allen.
