Giants spend last year on campus When the lunch bell rings, hungry pupils converge on the cafeteria. i Sw 1 ..g..--- The winclows of biology classes open as the smell of formal- dehyde becomes overpowering. Serving the needs of more than 2200 pupils, faculty members, and administrators are the four buildings of Ben Davis High School. The oldest building, the Annex, was built in 1924. In 1946, an addition was added, and the Annex was used as a grade school until 1959, when it became part of the high school. lt houses the English, math, and social studies classes. The Senior Gym, commercial, home economics, and academic classes make up the Senior Build- ing, which was built in 1936. Built as a grade school annex in 1951, science classes and administrative offices are housed in the Wayne Central Building. The Samuel T. Lang Building, better known as the Industrial Arts Building, contains the shop classes and the cafeteria. Altogether, the campus buildings make up the setting for the Giants' WEST SIDE STORY. W., At the end of the school day, the Annex stands empty until pupils and faculty return.
