Eeny, Meeny, Miney, Mo,come onteam1et's go-go-go! As these two pictures plainly show, during school and after school the students of B,D, High are a happy group of people! Who can ever forget those riotous pep sessions that brought such joy and enthusiasm to the fans and that much needed confidence to the team. A group of students are shown here supply- ing their cheers and hurrahs, while the Ben Davis pep band supplies that certain something that sparks the spirit in one of the Ben Davis songs. This year our pep band, under the direction of Mr. Gene Smith, deserves a big thank you for their fine performances of cheering our Giants on to victory at every home basketball game. This group of students waiting for their ride home is a familiar sight around Ben Davis. Many an after-school class of make-up work, club activities and meetings and Qpardon the expressiony seventh periods keep students after school many times. Let's hope these students are staying for make-up work or clubs!

OW ellaaf lays .Aff an avid Three very inspiring speeches were given at Baccalaureate this year. They were given by Tom Howald, NormaJo Kolbe, and Duane Wood. At the right, Duane Wood delivers his speech to an attentive audience. Several Honors were given on Honor Day this year to graduating members of Ben Davis. In the lower right, Mr. Madison Shadley pre- sents the scholarship award to Mary Mahang Citizenship to Duane Woodg School Spirit to Ann Wechsler, and Activities to Tom Howald, The American Legion Awards were presented to NormaJo Kolbe and Tom Howald.

Aa4L-..-,-A,- - -, - A , lu in , LB Y 'Xl sl If af' 'xl Two presentations that will long be remem- bered by this year's students of Ben Davis were the annual music festival and the spring play, OklahomaI Above, Patty Pruett glides through a solo in the Arabian Nights number. There were several other dance routines, including: an Indian number, a Gypsy number, a Dogpatch number, an Irish number and many others. Several organizations participated in the Music Festival such asg the band, the orchestra, the choirs, the dance band, the majorettes, the flag corps and the Bellalres. Another spectacular this year was the pre- sentation of Ok1ahomaI The Dramatic Club and all the above organizations participated in this play. Everyone agreed that Oklahoma was the finest play ever given at Ben Davis and this was shown by the reactions of the students and the attendance at the two night performances.
