The girl in apretty formal, the guy in his tux, each enjoying the other's appearance and each probably more uncomfortable than the other. This year's prom at the Indiana Roof was a most memorable occasion. As you enteredthe ballroom, you were given a small program which had aplace for the names of the king, queen, prince, and princess. The ballroom provided an atmosphere of a Spanish town at twilight time, while music for the evening was pro- vided by the Earl Newport Band. At 10 o'c1ock the coronation began and the court was crowned. The results of the election were: Don Troutt, king, Marjorie Pettitt, queen, Dave Huston, prince, and Delores Frost, princess. The queen and princess were each given a large bouquet of long- stemmed red roses and each of the attendants to the queen and princess were presented with small bou- quets of carnations. Twelve o'clock certainly came early that even- ing because the prom was to end at midnight and the band understood the time to be 11 o'clock. However, the band members were informed that they still had one hour of dance music to provide, so they went back to the band stand and played a while longer, Offer at prom para Me I . Aecmlfg ana! lficfory i Q 1.-4 Bedecldng the Keyhole float at the Homecoming are Left to Right: Kay Wills, Ann Syler, Sue Kinnalrd, and Sandy Hawkins. WI Ahl The eve of Homecoming! Can we ever forget it all --- working on floats and band practices till the hours become endless , the team practicing calisthenics, and best of all the pre-game parade! And speaking of the parade, we also saw the pert Homecoming Queen, Patsy Long, leading the parade with her court: Rhoda McDaniel, senior, Sandy Allen, jtmiorg Sandy Kinney, sophomore, and Sandy Miller, freshman. On this all-important football night, the Giants met the Sacred Heart Spartans on the gridiron to win their fourth game of the season by a score of 26 to 7. During half time Patsy was escorted ontothe field with her court. Co-captains Randy McPike and Tim Mongan placed the crown on Patsy's head making her the third Homecoming Queen in Ben Davis' history, The band then saluted both schools by playing their school songs at the biggest and best Homecoming ever at Ben Davis.
