B. D. Scientist In this age of Sputniks, rockets and space the inquiring minds of today's youth must be alert and prepared. To help the chemists, phy- sicists, doctors, engineers, and rockateers of to- morrow get a good start in their prospective fields of study, Ben Davis offers a well rounded course of science fundamentals. Courses offered include: biology, botany, chemistry, and physics. This year the biology department obtained a new laboratory. There- fore they are better able to learn the biological aspects of living matter. For the first time in B.D.'s history, the students have enough room and equipment to do dissecting. The plans for next year include a new chemistry physics lab. More than ever before in the history of the world, science is an important field and Ben Davis High School is doing her part in further- ing progress.
