Plane and solid geometry, algebra, general math, trigonometry, and commercial arithmetic gave us a wide selection. Skills in solving problems and development of our reasoning powers came to us through the guidance of our math teachers. MATH DEVELOPED OUR REASQNING POWERS MISS NINA MARTIN, department head, led us into the mystery of algebra problems. She also taught Algebra III and IV, Geometry I and III, and Trigonometry. I 8

'PW fi VOLLEYBALL, basketball, softball, dodge ball, and calisthenics, were some of the activities we engaged in during gym classes. Girls and boys used the big gym at the same time. A sliding panel made two rooms out of one. PHYSICAL EDUCATION WAS ONE CLASS WE ALL ENJOYED DEVELOPING strong and healthful bodies was not the only aim of the physical education pro- gram.
