Rooms BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION The General Business class carries on its regular activities while crowded into two of the smallest rooms in the freshman building. Mrs. Mildred Doyle, assisted by a student teacher, instructs her pupils in the fundamentals of the business world. PSYCHOLOGY Mr. Bernard DeWitt holds the inter- est of his psychology class as he ex- plains the functions of the human mind. Here students learn ways to improve their own personalfties and understand the behavior cf others. LITERATURE Disclosing the mysteries of the past in ballads, short stories and epics, Eng- lish VII provides a broader literary background. It recreates the atmos- phere of England as seen by English authors.

Class MATHEMATICS Under the careful supervision of Miss Gladys Dawson, freshman algebra stu- dents take their first steps into the world of unknown quantities. This pro- vides a background for future mathe- matics classes. AGRICULTURE Even though the Ag class room is one of the smallest in the building, it is used for many things. Here boys learn to be excellent farmers, how to properly care for cattle, increase the productivity of the soil and to iudge vegetables and poultry. SPEECH For those interested in acquiring poise before an audience, Mrs. Elsie Ball's speech classes provide an excel- lent training. One may gain the con- fidence necessary for any type of pub- lic speaking he may be called upon Io do, after taking this course.

,,f ' HOME ECONOMICS As Mrs. Martha Welch demonstrates, o group of first year home economists mentally note the procedure for future use. Within the well-equipped home economics laboratory, many tasty and interesting dishes are contrived. MORNING DEVOTIONS Starting the day with a hymn, stu- dents who regularly attend morning devotions find their lives enriched by the spiritual guidance they receive. This early morning meeting has been a custom at Ben Davis since 1943.
