Till-I7 'F Student Part1c1pat1on In School Admlnlstratlon HE Ben Blewett junlor Hlgh School Cab1net IS the great umfymg O 23 55 co ordmatmg and delevatmg body of the school It IS composed of t 1,3 'O limj mne pup1ls and elght teachers and through xts members lf IS rn constant commun1cat1on w1th the varled 3Ct1VltlCS and responses of the entlre school Each grade Congress IS made up of two pup1l members from each ad vlsory group and xt meets w1th the class admlnlstrator and one other teacher chosen by him All suggestlons for lmprovements of the school or grade are brought before the Congress by the delegates or the teachers In so far as a partlcular matter affects only the grade the Congress meets the sltuatlon through an actual ruhng or the appomtment of commlttees If the whole school IS mterested 1n the matter xt IS referred to the Cabmet through the Congresses delegates The Cab1net also rece1ves requests and suggestlons throuoh 1ts members who represent the school paper Jumor L1fe tne Corr1dor Offxcers and the Blewett B Councll The teacher members of course make many valuable contr1but1ons The Cab1net has four standlng commlttees made up of pup1ls and teach ers Audrtorlum Commlttee 1n whose hands are suggest1ons for xmprove ment of audltorrum sess1ons and the decorat1on and care of the room Lunch Room Commlttee whose busmess rt IS to know condltlons rn the lunch room and suggest lmprovements School Grounds Commlttee whlch accepts re spons1b1l1ty for the beautlflcatlon care and use of the playground and walks Corr1dor Commlttee to wh1ch IS entrusted all matters of passmg and conduct rn the corrldors and Safety Commlttee 1n whose hands IS the preventxon of accldents of all kmds The workmg commlttees make a report at each meetlng of the Cabmet wlth recommendanons whlch are dlscussed and adopted and referred to what ever faculty or student body can be of most help The co operatlon asked from the b0d1CS varres all the way from a mere request for sympathetlc as srstance to the launchmg of a drxve The dxagram followlng explalns 1n dlarframmatlc form th relatlonsh p of the Cabinet to the School xt shows how the varlous groups of pup1ls and teachers wlth all their efforts to make Blewett a more nearly perfect school are co ordmated through the work of the Cabme' 57 JY .'
