AS FIRST GRADERS IN BEMUS Twenty-five members of the Class of 1958 started kindergarten in 1945 in the Bemus Point School District and remained together through High School: Charles Anderson, Mary Beth Bailey, Helen Bogenschutz, Joan Boyd, Arthur Brown, Dale Bur- gess, Joyce Clark, Donald Cook, Gail Dahlquist, Margaret Johnson, Laura jones, Carole Kesby, Doris Liddell, Judy Nygren, Sandra Okerlund, Phyllis Pickard, Sondra Rhodes, Dennis Rodgers, Mary Sack, Eldora Sample, Richard Sparling, Theodore Valone, Sandra Wliite, Beverly Winton, and David Wood- head. From the moment we entered High School, we kept things stirred up and won the reputation of Class Historq being the peppiest Freshman class in the record of the school. Wie certainly had a lot of fun that year sponsoring a dance, the Frosh Frolicf' and selling popcorn at the basketball games. As Sophomores, We were at first weighed down with responsibility, but even this did not crush our enthusiasm at being - legally and at last - senior high school students. During this year, Donald Rice was our class presidentg and under the guidance of Mr. Fassett, Mr. Pegan and Mr. Thompson, we spon- sored two very successful smorgasbords and sold ice cream and candy at the basketball games.
