From the moment we entered High School, we kept things stirred up and won the reputation of Class Historq being the peppiest Freshman class in the record of the school. Wie certainly had a lot of fun that year sponsoring a dance, the Frosh Frolicf' and selling popcorn at the basketball games. As Sophomores, We were at first weighed down with responsibility, but even this did not crush our enthusiasm at being - legally and at last - senior high school students. During this year, Donald Rice was our class presidentg and under the guidance of Mr. Fassett, Mr. Pegan and Mr. Thompson, we spon- sored two very successful smorgasbords and sold ice cream and candy at the basketball games. Our class spirit continued into our junior year, with David Rhodes as president. Again we spon- IN FLUVANNA AS FOURTH GRADERS AS SEVENTH GRADERS IN MR. CREVELINGS ROOM. U Mist sored a successful smorgasbord. but the highlight of the year was our .lunior play, For Pete's Sake. We entertained the Seniors at the traditional junior- Senior Banquet, choosing the White Inn at Fredonia for the festivities, Here all tradition was shattereclg our long persistence paid off. At the dinner We received our long-awaited class rings and did not have to wait, as in the past, for Moving-Up Day. Our career as Seniors brings this record up to date. ln all ways we have done our best to show our school spiritg we have attended football, basketball and baseball games galore and cheered and sung our- selves hoarse. Among the many special things which have made our Senior year memorable have been POWI2LL'S ROOM. 'L - I .W another smorgasbord, our SCJIMI play at Thanks- giving time, and of course our never-to-be forgotten Senior trip to W'ashington in the spring. Leading us in our last year of High School were Donald Rice, president, Charles Anderson, vice-presidentg Barbara Shelters, secretaryg Arthur Brown, treasurer, and Helen Bogenschutz and Richard Woodfield, Student Council representatives, with Mr. Carlson, Mr. Pegan and Mr. Thompson as our advisors. We look back with prideg we look ahead with hope. If we succeed as well in the future as we have in our high school days, our school days have indeed started us along the highway to success. ltxflfl , . .,. . .. , ,.,.,.. , ' 'l' 171 -, ,gg ,nn We finally reach junior High.
