Each year a group from this club makes a tour to the Twin Cities. They tour various establishments which are of interest to the Audio-Visual Aids field. The Various departments that make up the club are the pro- gram department which takes care of schedules and assigns oper- atorsg the office department takes care of all recordsg the equip- ment. The radio tape department is in charge of head sets in the study hall and the public relations department does out of school work. The faculty advisor is Mr. Gauthier. The monitors, under Mr. Dahl, have again completed another successful school year in man- aging various important positions around the school. The monitors in the Study Hall, maintain order, check passes, and take roll. The cafeteria monitors helpinthe serving of lunches and in clean- ing up after lunches. The tunnel monitors prevent students from running to the tunnel and getting ahead in line. Thehall monitors play an important part in keeping the halls quiet and in order during and between classes. The club meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month and pro- vides opportunities for solving homelife problems, sponsors group projects, and developes leadership qualities. The club serves as waitresses for all school banquets and sponsors a school dance each year. They send dele- gates to the District FHA meeting held at the school of the district vice president, the Minneapolis State FHA convention neld in Minneapolis, and to the FHA camp on Lake Arrowhead. The Bemidji Chapter held its annual Parent and Son Banquet. The first year members are called 9.'6611h3.DdS j the second year they are promoted to the degree of chapter farmer. Then you may wak for the degree of state farmer. Its activities are judging, parties, trips, and selling candy inthe cafeteria. The local chapter has four judging teams, they are, crops, meats, soils, and dairy. Boys try out for these teams in their spare time during school, nights after school, and on saturdays. Usually four boys are se- lected for each team. Those selected are the ones that show the great- est ability and desire to work.
