Ray and Jack McHale. , Jones, My Dear Students and Faculty: I have spent the last 16 years of my life with the Bement Schools. After 38 years in public schools, I would have to say you and your community hold the dearest spot in my heart. There is hardly one of my former students that have not, or are not, making many contributions to our society. The most important progress in life is to be made in the home, the church, and the school. Without these three institutions, progress cannot be made in a democracy such as ours. Apathy is the biggest enemy of our society today. Many of you are letting this attitude destroy your potential for your future life. The end of my Superintendency will not end my stay in Bement. I will be most willing to help you long after you graduate from the Bement Schools. The last reward that I am hoping to receive for my work in Education is that I have been a helpful friend to each and every one of you. J. E. Hargrave A VITAL PART OF EDUCATION I look back upon 1972-1973 with pleasure. The members of 1973 can be proud of their accomplishments. You can look back with fond memories upon tire Senior Play. You can be proud of your academic success. Best of all, you can remember the classmates who worked with you to make 1972-73 what it was. It has been a good year and the future looks bright. Good Luck! Thomas R. Hensley High School Principal, Thomas Hensley.
