Improvements from Science to Sports On July 1, 1964, construction was begun on a new fieldhouse for the Bulldogs. When the football boys moved in at mic -season, they found it to have better showers and a better heating system than the old one. The new fieldhouse is about twice as large as the old, having separate facilities for the Varsity and JV teams. The building also has a coaches’ office and a training room. Chemistry students benefited from the renovated chem lab this year. New lab desks, a new ventilating hood, and other equipment were installed in a sweeping modernization. The lab combines the facilities of a modern classroom with those of a laboratory, eliminating the necessity of an extra room.
