Physics teacher, MR. RICHARD MILLS, is explain- ing to Bob Morris, Richard Harper and Bud Shonk- wiler a complicated looking set up. Mr. Mills also teaches a geometry class and general science, super- vises noon hour activities, advises the Sophomore class, coaches track and assists in coaching football. Math And Science Develop Keen Minds With compass in hand, MR, H, E. SLUSSER sets out to explain a geometry problem that is puzzling John Clements, Tony Strohl, and Juanita Danenhower. In addition to teaching math classes, which include algebra, plane geometry, and solid geometry and trigonometry, Mr. Slusser is a Freshman class ad- vrser. MR. THOMAS HENSLEY carefully does a titration experiment for his interested group of chemists. Looking on are Joe Wiest, Danny Thornton, Carol Allen, Carolyn Brady and Hughie Doran. Mr. Hen- sley teaches chemistry and biology and he is adviser to the Junior class and the Future Scientists of A- merica.

Languages Teach s elf Expression MRS. VIRGINIA DARE, Latin I and II teacher, waits to hear the English translation of the Latin word as she drills two of her students, Bob Burton and Joe Wiest, on Latin vocabulary. Mrs. Dare is also the adviser of the Latin Club. In English IV MISS ISABELLE HOUSTON advises Betty Morris about the fundamentals of voice record- ing as Ray Pruitt and Larry Taylor watch the progress. Being Librarian, teaching English III and IV, advising the Senior class and the Annual Staff, and directing the senior play constitute Miss Houston's busy sched- ule. 8 fi MISS JACQUELINE STEWART points out to Danny Doran, Carolyn Carlin, and Linda Larimore the correct way to diagram a sentence. Besides teaching English I and Il, Miss Stewart advises the New Staff and the Junior Class.

We Acquire Skills MRS, CHARLOTTE RAINEY is busy at one of her daily tasks in preparation for her teaching the home economics classes, Mrs. Rainey is also the adviser to the Future Homemakers of America and to the Junior class. Industrial arts boys certainly are busy as they work on their projects with the use of various small tools.
